I am destined for shoe disappointment.
I'm super bummed... after getting all excited about those shoes, I decided - since it was a company I hadn't heard of before - to check out their online reviews and customer testimonials (none of which are featured on their own website). I have discovered a LOT of complaints about negative customer service experiences, and now I'm afraid to order. When, oh when, will I find the summer sandals I crave?

Shoes, Glorious Shoes!
I am not much of a fashionista; I spend most days in jeans and a t-shirt. But I do have a bit of a weakness for shoes. I recently had a mini-shoe-heartbreak while shopping for the perfect pair of sandals for my upcoming trip to Guatemala - I ordered the cutest sandals ever from a mainstream shoe website; after carefully reading the description, which described man-made uppers and rubber soles, I determined them to be vegan and ordered them. After excitedly awaiting their delivery for several days, I opened the package with great anticipation, only to discover ... leather foot beds. Ugh. Needless to say, I sent them back.
I haven't had any luck finding a replacement pair of sandals for my trip - until today. How is it possible that I have not discovered Ragazzi Vegan before today? These shoes are exactly what I was hoping to find for my trip - a little chunky (somewhat reminiscent of Danskos, but ALL VEGAN), yet still summery - comfortable, with stable soles that are easy to walk in, even on cobblestone streets - and super cute! My new problem is going to be choosing which ones to buy - I'm not sure if I can narrow it down to just one pair...

My favorite shoes
For the past several summers, I have been living in my Teva flip-flops. I just found that my favorite style is on sale for under $15 so I thought I'd share. Go buy a pair; I promise you'll love them!

Love.
There is nothing quite so nice as a new pair of shoes that you love.

Easy Vegan - Pizza, Part Two (Amy's Pizza Review)
I guess it kind of goes without saying that frozen pizza is a super-easy meal, and I was thrilled to discover this incredibly delicious vegan version. Granted, they aren't cheap - I think they are around $8 each at the natural foods store (and they aren't huge), but sometimes I've been able to catch them at the local Grocery Outlet for about half that.

Of course, I try to cook homemade, whole-foods meals as often as I possibly can, but there's definitely a time when frozen convenience foods can come in very handy (like now, when illness has been circulating through our entire family).

These pizzas are incredibly tasty all on their own, topped with just roasted, finely-chopped veggies, or if you're in the mood for something richer, try topping them with some vegan cheese.

I want.
Look what I found today... the coolest custom vegan shoes! Tony Price (a fellow member of Vegan Etsy - how have I managed to miss him until now???) takes plain old Vans and creates wearable works of art for your feet. I am so in love... I'll have to save my money for a pair with a turkey motif. :-)

My ass is in trouble
My fellow vegans (and non-vegans) - have you tried these yet?
Where have I been - hiding under a rock? Oh man, these are amazing.

Oh, and by the way, if you do an Amazon search for 'caramel booty', be prepared for results like this -
